The 2007 Streetscapes Hoedown

This was our third Fund Raising event.  It was held on Sunday, October 7, 2007 from 5:30 – 10:30 pm at The Round House at Jackson Gore.  It featured a full dinner, consisting of a full BBQ Smorgasbord prepared by Chef Breen of Coleman Brook Tavern at Jackson Gore.

There was square dancing to live music by the Turkey Mountain Window Smashers, with John Newton as Caller

The main event was a live auction, where guests could bid on  one-of-a-kind hand painted table-top figures, sponsored by local businesses and friends of Streetscapes, and painted and decorated by local artists.

Hand-decorated sap buckets were also included in the live auction, for the benefit of the Black River Academy Museum.

The live auction also featured  three unique Vermont experiences – hunting wild boar and elk, 18 holes of golf and a ride on Okemo’s  “Yellow Submarine.”

A silent auction of items donated by local businesses, artists and friends also contributed to our fundraiser.

Proceeds from the live and silent auction were dedicated to the continuation of our “Brighten Up Ludlow” projects.
